Doctors tell us they often don't know if a script has been filled until the next consultation. The most immediate benefit of MediSecure® is that you will be notified when your patient presents their script and it is dispensed. Notifications from the MediSecure® ETP program will become your vital feedback tool in medication management.
Once MediSecure® reaches a critical mass with GPs and other doctors, authorised providers will be able to view a patient's consolidated medication record subject to privacy opt-in by the patient. This means that patient-authorised GPs, specialists, hospitals, allied health, community and aged care facilities will be able to better manage transitions of care through role-based access to a single consolidated medication record. MediSecure® will, at a later stage, make the consolidated record accessible to your clinical information system.
